Spotlight On My Collection-Barbie My Scene-Nolee-Chelsea-Kennedy

     Hello doll lovers!! This is a spotlight on my collection of my scene barbies. I really like my scene barbies their faces are so pretty. I don't have very many cause they are hard to find and I can not afford to buy them offline. I got these girls at yard sales and salvation army, I have a few more that still need makeovers so this will grow a little bit over the next few months. 

 

Spotlight On My Collection-La Dee Da Dolls-Ummm What???

     Hello doll lovers!! I bet you wasn't expecting to see these girls in my collection posts was you? I can't blame you since I did specifically say I was selling them but...... then I looked at them again and decided that I don't care if they are cartoonish I love these girls faces and outfits! But I am only going to collect ones that have clothes and shoes. Ones with shoes are hard to find cause those darn shoes are tiny!! Enjoy these beauts. I can't pick a fav but I will say the rapunzel and the orignal la dee da are so cute!! Love rapunzel's boots!! 

 

MIni Makeover Time-Disney Hasbro Princess-Ariel-Mulan

     Hello doll lovers!! I did a few mini makeovers the other day and was happy with how they turned out. I used my conditioner spray on ariel's hair and brushed it with the wire brush after the knots was out combed through it. I decided to put it up in a pony tail since her outfit was very casual. She had a tattered dress on so I gave her a mulan fashion pack outfit to wear and she look so cute! The mulan was in very good condition the only thing I did to her was restyle her hair one side had came out of her side pony so I fixed it. I put a pic of what I used to clean these dolls at the bottom. 

 

Updated Spotlight On My Collection-Monster High Dolls-Part 2

     Hello doll lovers!! Today is part 2 of the monster high updated collection. In this we have some very unique dolls. I really like the ghouls night out clawdeen but threaderella is a fav too! I do have some makeover posts on these dolls and some spotlight posts already. I could not believe all the monster high dolls I had cleaned or gotten in almost new condition this past year. 

 

Mini Makeover Time-Hasbro Disney Princess-Rapunzel

     Hello doll lovers!! I wanted to try a new way to "makeover" the dolls I was wanting to sell and it turned out pretty good. I wanted an easier way to clean up the dolls for sale cause you don't want to sell a doll that has matted hair and marks on their face and body. So I came up with my water/conditioner solution. I put about a teaspoon of conditioner in a small spray bottle then filled it with hot water and shook it around to mix it. I feel a dolls hair is easier to brush or comb if it is wet if not it fluffs up and frizzes.

     All I did was spray the dolls hair from top to bottom on both sides then brushed through with the metal bristle brush. Once all the tangles was out I combed through it, if I needed to I sprayed it a few more times to help with the brushing. After I sprayed her down with the spray when her face was wet I wiped it down and got the dirt off of it. I had two rapunzel's one had her dress and the other was nude but I had a fashion pack from the cinderella doll from this line. I think they turned out really cute and look so good for resale, what little girl wouldn't want these??? 

 

Spotlight On My Collection-Vintage Barbie Dolls-Bubble Cut-Color Magic-Ken-Skipper-Julia-Scooter

     Hello doll lovers!! The spotlight continues with my vintage barbie dolls. I have posts on almost all of these girls (and Ken) of me making them over. I got a lot of them from an estate sale for $1 and boy they was grubby..... I do love them though, they aren't in perfect condition but I love them anyway! The one in pink is color magic she has a small nip in her nose and the brunette bubble cut are my favs! 

 

Makeover Time-Barbie Fashionista-#10-Kitty Dress

     Hello doll lovers!! This is my last fashionista that I had to makeover, she is the #10 that originally came in a kitty dress. I am not sure where I got her or what I paid for her (I know..... shocker....) she was in my back log bin. When I went through my doll bins to see what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to sell I got her out to clean since she was one of the only fashionistas in that bin. I don't find a lot of those dolls in my adventures, not sure why. 

      Like all the others she got a bath with dish soap, baking soda and a tooth brush. Then her hair was washed with dish soap, conditioned and combed through with a comb after 10 min. Her hair was really nice to begin with so it was really shiny and pretty after. She did not have her original outfit (bummer) so I gave her this vintage minnie outfit that is so cute! It needs mended but that is ok it looks good on her now, I am sure I will change her for display and you never know I may find her outfit in my thrifting adventures. 

 

Spotlight On My Collection-Ever After High Dolls

     Hello doll lovers!! Even though I just did makeovers on these girls not too long ago I wanted to give them a post in my collection. I have had some ever after high dolls but these are the ones that have been cleaned and are ready to go out for display. I will be adding more to this collection really soon. 

 

Weekly Doll Sales-Making Money To Add To My Collection-#1

      Hello doll lovers!! Thought since I have started to sell some of my doll items to make some of my money back or more money for dolls I would share how it goes. I just thought of this idea so I missed a week or so. I started off by putting some items on the local yard sale page in my town. I put three groupings of dolls up they varied from 8-10 dolls in each grouping (these was newer barbies that I do not collect or disney dolls I get in bags when I buy them). I posted each group from $10-$15, a lady asked how much I would take for all and we decided on $25. I was glad to get rid of the dolls and she was happy for her daughter. 

      Last week I listed a bratz head games megan doll head still in it's box without the cello cover for after fees and the price I paid for her at a yard sale ($1) I made $26. Then this week I listed a few more items this week on ebay (I'm trying to space it out so I don't get tired of it quickly). I sold a set of 2 winx dolls without thier wings but had the outfits after fees and cost I made $8 (the cost of the dolls was $4 for both). Then I sold a new in box bratz nevra dynamite doll after fees for $17 (I pad $3 for her at a yard sale, I really did think she would sell for more). Also sold  alot of bratz shoes, there was 3 pairs in the lot after fees I made $5. Lastly not really doll related but I am adding it anyway I sold an almost complete lisa frank stationary set, it was the whale set I got it at goodwill for .50 and after fees I made $39! My best sale so far. So in the past couple of weeks I made $120, not too bad. Hoping to keep this up but we shall see....

Makeover Time-Barbie Fashionista-#52 Tall-Plaid on Plaid

     Hello doll lovers!! Yes, it is another Fashionista girl, I had quite a few of these in my lot off of ebay that needed cleaned. Like the other dolls from that lot she came out to cost around 1.50. Like a few of the other dolls she had a hair tie in her hair too and was not boil washed (my mistake) so when I do finally display these dolls they will have to be redone but that is a while away. 

     She got the same treatment as the other girls, body washed with dish soap, baking soda and a tooth brush. Her hair washed with dish soap, conditioned and combed through after 10 min. Got lucky again, she had her original outfit and shoes so she was good to go. I do think she is a pretty doll, I really like to tall dolls too. 

 

Spotlight On My Collection-Barbie Fashionista-The Rest of the Crew

     Hello doll lovers!! All of these ladies are regular height but do have their own uniqueness about them. All of these girls are new the collection this year! Most of them have a blog about them already so if you want more info you can check them out. My fav would be the blonde and pink shaved head doll, I looked for her forever, finally found her at a good price. 

 

Makeover Time-Barbie Fashionista-#8 Denim N Dots

     Hello doll lovers!! Today we have a barbie fashionista that is called denim n dots, I could not find a number for her so I guess they didn't give one with this line. I will say her hair did not turn out like I wanted it to, I did not boil wash it like I should have so she will have to be redone at some point but she is clean. I got this girl in a lot off of ebay she came out to cost 1.50. 

     To start off I washed her body with dish soap, baking soda and a tooth brush. Then I washed her hair with dish soap, conditioned it and combed through it after about 10 min. She had her hair up in a pony tail so because I did not boil wash her she has a bump in her hair (couldn't tell till the next day after it dried). I also hand washed her dress (she was really dirty so I wanted her clothes clean too) that is her original and she had her shoes. Even though her hair is a little iffy I am glad she is clean and can be stored for now. 

 

Spotlight On My Collection-Vintage Reproduction Barbies-Bride-Solo in the Spotlight-Enchanted Evening

     Hello doll lovers!! I have not done a spotlight on these dolls yet because I just got them last summer. I really love the vintage barbies and these girls are so pretty. I want to get more of the reproducions, in fact I have two that need makeovers. I paid $5 and $8 for each of these beauties. There is wedding day barbie, solo in the spotlight and enchanted evening. I love these lades and hope to get more! 

 

Makeover Time-Barbie Fashionista-Tall Fashion Set-Leather and Ruffles

     Hello doll lovers!! Another beautiful fashionista has been cleaned up and restored. Of course she didn't need much restoring but her hair was a little crazy. This is a fashionista fashion pack doll, she does not have a number but I do have 4 of the 5 sets that came out together but I do not have her fashions because she was bought used at salvation army a few years ago for .59.

     She was washed with dish soap, baking soda and a tooth brush. Her hair was washed with dish soap, then conditioned and combed through after setting for 10 min. I was lucky she did have her outfit but not shoes, so I found her a pair in my stash. I did notice when I was taking pics of her that she has a mark on her face I did not notice so she will have to washed again when I redo a few dolls hair. 

 

An Updated Spotlight On My Collection-Monster High Dolls-Part 1

      Hello doll lovers!! I decided to not just do my fashionista girls but all of my dolls because I had them all out anyways so might as well, right? This is going to be an update on my monster high dolls that I have made over this past almost year. Most of these dolls I have had but they were stored so I could clean them up. Well I had way more monster high dolls than I thought so there will be several parts to my spotlight on these dolls! Enjoy!
