Doll Finds Friday-1991 Holiday Barbie-Clothes-Trolls

     Hello doll lovers!! It's doll finds friday my favorite day of the week! This past week I found this so pretty 1991 holiday barbie with her shoes for only .99!!! Sad thing is her hand is chewed but I hid it for display (I didn't see it in the goodwill but I would have gotten her anyway. At the same goodwill I found this 18 in doll outfit for .99 too. I also found the set of 3 trolls for 1.49 and the fairy troll for .99 at the same goodwill (that place was a treasure trove for sure). Got some more vintage beauties from salvation army this week! 

 

Restoration Time-Restringing-Madame Alexander-Dolls of the World-Thailand

     Hello doll lovers!! I have been bit by the restoration bug, I recently posted about a Madame Alexander doll that I had watched videos on to restring. Her restoration went so well I was excited to try it on some of my other dolls. I have had this little cutie for about a year now she was so floppy and pitiful when I got her at an estate sale for $1 but I couldn't help it look at that face. She turned out so nice, she can't stand on her own but I think that is because of her sandals they don't support her very well but her head is on straight now and not flopping over! I did her a little different than the first doll but I like the results of the first doll better so now I know that is the method I will use. It is all trial and error to find out what you like the most. I watched several different videos on how to restring on youtube and took some pointers from them all. Now when I get my cabinet for display she will be ready to go after a quick cleaning!

 

Restoration Time-Madame Alexander-Jo Little Women-60s-Restring

     Hello doll lovers!! This week I took on an actual restoration not just a makeover. I got this madame alexander little women jo doll a few weeks ago and as you can see her stringing was not good and then her leg fell off. So I decided to watch some tutorials on how to resting a doll and I made my first attempt. She isn't as tight as I would like but her head is good and her leg is attached. 

     I also cleaned her clothes and body really good. Her pinafore was yellowed really badly I tried alka selter and denture tablets but it is still a little yellow but does look better. She does have red transfer on her arms from her dress but I left that alone cause you can't see them under the dress anyways. I am very happy with her restoration and now feel comfortable working on my older dolls! In the last two pics she is standing on her own! 

Doll Finds Friday-Nanana Surprise Teens- Diapers

     Hello doll lovers!! This week was a bit of a smaller haul but still a nice one. I got the na na na surprise teen lamb doll for 6.48 off of amazon. The doll diapers was a clearance find at walmart for $4 a pack, I am going to use these when I do the makeover for my cabbage patch dolls.

Doll Finds Friday-Barbie-Barbie-Ken-Monster High

     Hello doll lovers!! My toy lady was out this week and I ended up with a couple treasures! I got the california dreamin' barbie in dream glow barbies dress and 70s busy ken with holding hands for only $1 for both! Then I got the monster high boo york catty with dress, shoes and purse and the creepiteria draculaura with outfit and shoes for $8! I love what I got and have the barbies clothes so I can clean her up and put her in the original outfit!

     Hello doll lovers!! It is doll finds Friday and I did find a few things this week. I got all the girls in the first pic at salvation army for .99 a piece. The sea wee came from a yard sale for $1 and the shibajuku girl came from goodwill for .99.
