Makeover Time-Barbie-Pony Tail Reproduction

Hello doll lovers!! Worked on some doll makeover this week and decided to do this reproduction pony tail swimsuit barbie. I have a few of these reproductions I got in the box but I also have a couple that I bought used. I wanted to get this girl cleaned up and pretty again.
Poor thing her swimsuit does not want to stay up, so her previous owner gave it some thread to hold it up. Of course when I went to put it back on her one side of the thread broke but the other side is still intacted for now. She cleaned up really well and will still look lovely in my collection.

Makeover Time-Hasbro Maxie Teen Doll from the 80s

Hello doll lovers!! Did a few more makeovers this week and picked a couple of my older gals this time. I already showed darcy so this is hasbro maxie teen doll. I actually had the first doll from this line when I was younger and really liked her. This girl seems to have thinning hair plugs but she is nice for her age. I do not know which one she is but her one earring is pointing to prom maybe?
To start the makeover I washed her body with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. Then I washed her hair with dish soap and conditioned it, then combed through it rinsed and let her air dry. Since I didn't have her outfit I put her in this super cute clone doll outfit with pebbles flinstone on the shirt!! I love these clothes so much I had them when I was a kid. I kind of like the clone clothes more than the barbie clothes.

Makeover Time-Kenner Darci Doll from the 70s

Hello doll lovers!! Today I did a few more makeovers and did a couple of the older dolls I had been storing for a while. I was so happy to finally get these ladies made over. I got this darci doll in a bag of dolls from the goodwill years ago, she is missing a hand but I can hide that till I find her a replacement. Over the years I have found her outfit and shoes on my thrifting adventures so I was really glad to get her done.
Like always I started by washing her body with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. Then I washed her hair with dish soap and conditioned it. Then I ran a comb through it and let her set to dry. I combed her hair out when it was dry and she looks so great! Her outfit is a little worn but that is ok I love her and think she looks great, hopefully I can get her a hand at some point but she looks great either way.

Doll Finds for the Past Couple of Weeks-Barbie Accessories-Bratz and more Cave Club

Hello doll lovers!! Picked up a few things the past couple of weeks and there are actually some dolls in this post (shocker). I got some accessory sets for barbie from dollar tree for, you guessed it $1 a piece. Then I found a bag of bratz from a flea market for $25 (they came out for around 2.50 each) they had clothes and shoes so that is a deal. Lastly I picked up another cave club doll it is the boy slate, he was 7.94 also and I was excited to get a boy for once. Got some neat things these past couple of weeks just wish yard sales would pick up soon.

Makeover Time-Ever After High-Chapter One Cupid

Hello doll lovers!! I did more makeovers this week!! I just couldn't help it a couple of these girls I have wanted to makeover for a while. This is one of them for sure, this is chapter one cupid, she is the first edition cause she has the earrings the second wave does not. I have almost pieced her completely together buy buying different lots the only thing missing is her wings (super bummed I can't find these at a reasonable price, her hose cause first edition came with them and her ring).
As always her body was washed with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. Since she is an ever after high doll I did the orange spray treatment on her and it worked great again. After she set for 30 min I washed her body and hair then conditioned her and combed through it. I put a straw in her bangs and let her set to air dry. Then I dressed her and put her hair band in, she turned out really well and sooner or later I will get her those wings.

Makeover Time-Ever After High-Chapter One Madeline Hatter

Hello doll lovers!! Today is another makeover from this week, I did a few of the dolls I am adding to my collection and this girl I was super happy to makeover. I have wanted her for a while and finally found her for a good deal with most of her accessories. I got her off of mercari in a lot that came out to $7 a doll, I added her hair band and shoes so I got her almost complete for less than $10.
To start off her makeover I put orange spray in her hair and let it set for 30 (that really does help it alot). Then I washed her body with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. I then washed her hair really good with dish soap and put conditioner in it and let it set for 10 min. I did not boil wash her because of her curls instead I took each curl indivdually and combed it then twirled it back up and she turned out so cute. Got her outfit back on added her shoes and headband and look at how pretty she is!!

Makeover Time-2015 Bratz-Hello My Name Is Raya

Hello doll lovers!! Did a few makeovers this week on some dolls that I am keeping in my collection and yes, this is a bratz doll and yes I said they were not dolls I was going to collect but when I seen this girl at the salvation army for 1.99 she changed my mind. She was nude with no shoes so I had to get them off of ebay but I think it was worth it. This is the hello my name is raya doll and I am super bummed she did not come with her clothes and shoes they were so cute!!
To begin I washed her body with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. Then I washed her hair with dish soap and put conditioner on to set for a bit, after that she was combed and left to air dry. Because of her curls I did not boil wash and I to each curl and combed it so the did not spread apart and maker her hair massive. Once she was dry I put this fashion pack on her that I got off of ebay for $8 and I love it so much!! She is so cute and that shirt even has ears on the shoulders! So for around $10 I got an awesome doll!

Makeover Time-Barbie Fashionista-#76 Purely Pinstriped

Hello doll lovers!! Did a few makeovers this week of some dolls that I am adding to my collection and this beauty was one of them. She is the curvy barbie fashionista #76 purely pinstripe, sadly she did not come with her outfit, I got her at the salvation army recently for 1.99 nude. But you know your girl has a stash of clothes she can sift through and I found this barbie brand dress.
To start off the makeover I washed her body with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. Then I washed her hair with dish soap and put conditioner in to set for a bit. Then I combed through and let her air dry. She was in very good shape she just had a spot on her body so she was not a big transformation but I love her outfit and shoes I found for her!

Makeover Time-Barbie Myscene-Crusin' In My Ride Barbie

Hello doll lovers!! I did a few makeovers on some dolls I am adding to my collection this week, I decided to do different dolls instead of all the same ones at the same time. Glad I did it was fun to see how the different dolls turned out. This is barbie myscene cruisin' in my ride barbie (she came in a set with a boy named ellis and a car). She is wearing her original top and had her necklace but it broke, she originally came in khaki pants but had these on when I bought her and I liked them so I kept them. I got her at a flea market for 1.75 and she was worth every penny I love her hair.
First off I washed her clothes by hand and laid them out to air dry. Then I washed her body with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. Then I washed her hair with dish soap and put conditioner in it to set for a bit. I then combed through it and let her air dry. I redressed her in her outfit and added some clog shoes (I didn't have any my scene shoes that looked good with this outfit) and her she is. Her hair is so soft and fluffy, it is big time fluffed out. I could have boil washed her to make it straight cause that is her original style but I like the wave to it and think she looks pretty.

Makeover Time-Monster High-Scarey Tales Draculaura as Snow Bite

Hello doll lovers!! Did a few makeovers on some dolls I am adding to my collection and was really excited to do this makeover. I love this series of dolls, this is the monster high scary tales dolls draculaura as snow bite, there is also a frankie as threaderella (have her!!) and a clawdeen as little dead riding hood (want her so bad!!). I got this girl off of ebay for $13 (she had her dress, earrings necklace and dress bow. I already had her shoes). I really do understand why people love these dolls, they are like works of art, I can not believe these was made for a child to play with I mean look at those awesome shoes and that dress!!
To start her makeover I sprayed orange spray in her hair to remove the glue but unlike my last makeovers I actually let it set for 30 min before I washed it so it worked so much better. Then I washed her body with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. I then washed her hair really good to get the orange spray out and conditioned it. I then combed through it and did not boil wash cause it was so nice I didn't need to. I put her hair up in the original style it was in when she was new, wish I had her hair bow but I'm lucky to have all the stuff I do have for her and being able to get it for under $15. As you can tell I am very happy with this makeover.

Doll Finds for the Week/Month-Barbie Fashionista-Barbie Shoes-Cave Club Dolls

Hello doll lovers!! It has been a while since I did a doll find post but to tell you the truth this is really all I found in the past month doll related. Yard sales have been sparce and the thrift stores have been bare and my local stores do not have amazing clearance like others do.
I did manage to find a barbie fashionista for $1 at a yard sale that I did not have. She is a curvy girl with an updo and I love her only problem is she has a bit of a hair cut hoping I can style around it. If not her outfit and earrings are worth the $1. Then I picked up the two sets of barbie shoes at dollar tree for of course $1 a piece. Lastly I found these two cave club dolls at walmart on clearance for 7.94. I know that I said there would not be cave club in my collection but we all know I change my mind a lot......

Mini Makeover-Barbie Museum Collection Leonardo Di Vinci-2011

Hello doll lovers!! I did a mini makeover on this beautiful collector barbie today. She is the barbie museum collection leonardo di vinci from 2011 of course she is the mona lisa. I love her face and makeup she is by far one of the prettiest dolls I have in my collection. I got her at goodwill a while ago for 1.99, and she had her stand too!
When I do a mini makeover it is usually just to tame the hair and her hair is curly so she had some frizzness to it from being slung around a lot since she is no longer in her box. To keep her curls I took one curl at a time and sprayed it with my water/conditioner mix and combed through it then twirled it around my fingers to keep the curl. She turned out so nice I love her dress too it is so pretty and such nice quality.

Makeover Time-Ever After High-Chapter One Briar Beauty-Mirror Beach Madeline Hatter

Hello doll lovers!! I worked on a couple more dolls to sell, You might wonder why if I am selling them why clean them. I just want to sell nice looking dolls and items and why not make them a little more appealing? In this post is chapter one briar beauty and a mirror beach madeline hatter (I got 3 of her in a two week period, that's crazy!!).
As usual I started off by washing the bodies with dish soap, baking soda and a toothbrush. Then I washed their hair with dish soap and put conditioner in it. Let is set for 10 min. then combed through it. I thought about boil washing but I didn't want to loose the curls. I dressed briar back in her dress (that I hand washed) then I put maddie in an extra chapter one maddie dress (so she wouldn't be nude)

Hello doll lovers!! Another set that I recently completed was this wheel love set with lagoona blue and gil webber. I got lagoona in a bag of dolls a year or more ago she does not have her helmet but I can't complain she was only .50!
