Makeover Time.... Three Blonde 90s Barbie Dolls

Hello doll lovers!! I have been doing a lot of makeovers the past week or two. My son is not happy about that because he is creeped out by the dolls. I don't know why they are barbies not scary at all 🤷‍♀️ I do enjoy making them over and dressing them up.
I cleaned and washed their hair like I usually do (the instructions will be at the bottom of the post). The maxie doll was the hardest for me to clean up, her hair was very frizzy I tried to boil wash her and leave conditioner in her hair but nothing seemed to work. So I finally had to cut the frizzy parts off which ended up being around an inch of hair. I think she looks fine with shorter hair but do wish I could have saved the hair. I put her in her original outfit with a vest from a fashion pack. The crimped side pony tail barbie is in a 90s fashion pack I love her so much (wish I could identify her). The last girl is unidentified too, I put her in a 90s fashion pack dress since she has red lipstick and red earrings. These girls turned out great and I am loving using my clothes stash!

(If you are wondering how I clean my dolls I use dish soap first then do a wash with some baking soda, I use a tooth brush for both of these steps. I clean their hair with dish soap too and use conditioner that I let set for about 10 min then comb through. For really damaged hair I use a boil wash, which is just some boiling water and you dunk their hair in or can let them set for a bit. All of my cleaning tips came from a YouTube channel called "a thousand splendid dolls" I love their channel and she has so many helpful tutorials. This is how I clean all the dolls and ponies I do restorations on.)

Makeover Time... Stacie and Whitney Gymnast Sets

Hello doll lovers!! Finally it is time for a makeover post, I have about 3 totes full of dolls that are waiting makeovers but instead of working on any of them I decided to start on the dolls I recently picked up. Makes sense, right??
This week I picked up a couple boxes of barbies and accessories. This is from the 9.99 box of 90s dolls and clothes. This is the 1995 set of Stacie and Whitney gymnastic sets. Stacie came with the bars and Whitney came with the balance beam.
I washed the dolls like I always do (those instructions will be at the bottom). Whitney had a melted rubber band in her hair but it washed out easy. I tried my best to give them their original hair styles, whitney gave me some trouble (you wouldn't think a twist style would be hard) but thanks to a youtube video I figured it out.  They both had a bit of a basement smell (I am sure that they were stored in one). They still have a bit of a smell but not too bad unless you put them right in your face.  I didn't have to boil wash their hair it was fairly soft and had shine.
I washed the equipment sets the same way I washed the dolls and I also hand washed their clothes because I forgot to take them off when I washed all the other clothes. I may need to put them in the washer cause they still have a musty smell. Overall I am happy with how they turned out. I do believe I will be selling this set because I am not into the sister dolls. If I do they are going to be ready to go to their new home!

Makeover Time.... Three Salvation Army Saves-Ken-Queen Amidala-Sweetheart Brunette Barbie

Hello doll lovers!! About a month ago I found these dolls at my local salvation army, they were .59 a piece so I decided to save them. The ken is a generic fashionista, the brunette barbie is sweetheart barbie and last is queen amidala royal elegance (this doll has her complete outfit except shoes, head dress and a round hair piece).
I cleaned and washed their hair as usual (I will leave the instructions at the bottom of post). I dressed ken in an outfit I got from the dollar tree recently, I had to put a rubber band on his head because his hair did not want to stay down. I put a 90s fashion pack dress on the sweetheart barbie (I thought the rose on the side matched her necklace and earrings). Of course the queen amidala had her outfit so I put her back in it (I like to put my dolls in original clothes if I have them). I was happy with how they turned out and really like the queen amidala one.

1.99 Bag o Random Doll and Misc.-Barbie-Jo Jo Siwa-Care Bears

Hello doll lovers!! This is the last post of goodwill finds for opening day. This is a 1.99 bag o random I picked it up especially for the barbie (she is the corduroy cool) but alas.... She must have belonged to the same child the 7.99 box came from because yes, her hand was CHEWED. I was especially disappointed because that is the only reason I bought the bag. The only other items was a jojo siwa doll, equestria girl minis, a plush dog and few small toys. It was my fault of course because I should have paid more attention to what I was buying. It is ok though I will resale what is left in the bag to get my money back. Sometimes you win some and sometimes you  loose some 🤷‍♀️ Hmmmm.... Seems like my being selective goes right out the window when dolls are conserned. If you have read my last I don't know 6 posts it sure doesn't seem like I am sticking to that LOL!

Makeover Time... Two Teresa Dolls-Sparkle Beach and Princess

Hello doll lovers!! A couple of weeks ago I got these girls in a box from the goodwill, I have been slowly cleaning all the dolls I got. I do love the Teresa face mold and her skin tone she is a very pretty doll. I know that the long hair girl is sparkle beach but I wasn't sure about the other one, I found a picture of the Theresa princess she looked similar with the same earrings.
I cleaned these girls like I always do (I will put the instructions at the bottom of the post). I washed and conditioned their hair. I happened to have the princess dress I saw online, so I used it and gave her an updo. I do not have the sparkle beach swim suit so I gave her this blue velvet/silver lace dress since she had long silver earrings. I think the turned out pretty I like the princess hair style a lot. That was one of the first ones I have done.

Goodwill 7.99 Surprise Doll Box!! A lot of barbie!!

Hello doll lovers!! Yes, this is another goodwill doll haul from opening day. I told you there was some good doll deals that day. I got these box of 24 dolls for 7.99, so these dolls was about .30 a piece. The brown hair beauty in the first pic was the reason I bought the box her outfit was awesome and I could see a few monster high dolls too. Did I need 24 more dolls?? No..... but has that ever stopped me before??? Also.... No....
In the first pic we have the miraculous ladybug, northwestern sun (?) native american barbie (chewed hand I was so sad), unknown blonde with amazing hair and face, autumn in paris and the Nolan Miller illumination (?) collector barbie (broken neck... I was devastated). Second pic has a beyond pink, unknown blonde, disney aruora (?), another unknown blonde and the illumination masquarade collector barbie (her hair is so cool I am trying to figure out how to wash it without losing the curl, so sad her outfit wasn't included). Third pic is mostly unidentified dolls but there is a project mc square doll (her had is chewed too, hated it cause she had her whole outfit). Fourth pic is monster high dolls and the last pic are some equestria girls and a couple toddler annas, those will be resold to make a little bit of my money back.
Mostly I was happy with what I got in my 7.99 box, there was about 4 dolls with chewed hands I still do not understand that but I am not a child. The one collector dolls neck is broken which is so sad her hair and face are great but that dress is so beautiful I can put it on another doll but it is so sad that she has to be thrown away. That is something else I do not understand, why do parents buy kids a collector doll to play with, are those not expensive? I just can not see it but to each their own I guess.

Makeover Time... Littlest Pet Shop

Hello doll lovers!! Got a few littlest pet shops from the salvation army last week. They only charged me .59 for all of these cuties. I decided since they were second hand I would clean them up a bit. They were in pretty good shape but a little soap and baking soda can't hurt anything. I pick these up to resell, they sell good on ebay and they are pretty cute. If you want to know how I clean my toys/dolls I will leave it at the bottom of the post.

(If you are wondering how I clean my dolls I use dish soap first then do a wash with some baking soda, I use a tooth brush for both of these steps. 2004 Barbie Fairytopia Flower Pixie Set

Hello doll lovers!! Opening back up week at my goodwill had all the doll deals! I found these girls the first day my goodwill was back open after over 2 months. This is the fariytopia flower pixies 2004 set, I found them in a bin of toys for only $1! Wish I would have looked more in the bin cause I do believe the person had 2 sets of these because when I looked these girls up they seem to not be an orginal set. Usually the blue one comes with a pink friend and the orange comes with a purple friend. So obviously whoever owned them previously took them out of the package to play with and put them back in the wrong package. The is ok though they are still so cute!

Makeover Time.... Five Adorable Hairdorables

Hello doll lovers!! I was inspired to do a few doll makeovers this past week after my big opening day goodwill doll haul. I could not wait to get these girls cleaned up and their hair washed. I was very surprised to find these girls in a bag for $4 at the goodwill these dolls just came out last year I believe. Of course I always love an instant collection 😉someone told me if you have more than two it is a collection, if that is true I have way more collections than I thought...
I washed these girls like I do my other dolls (instructions will be at the bottom of the post). I washed their hair and put conditioner in it to make it smooth and easy to brush through. I put them in cups to dry because their hair is so massive if you try to set them they tip over. These girls did not need a lot of work they were pretty clean but I think the look better washed up. My favorite ones are the purple with rainbow hair, they are so cute! I am going to hang on to these girls for a little bit but may sell them later on if I can let go LOL.

4.00 Bag o Random Dolls!! Hairdorables-Boxy Charm-Glitter Girls

Hello doll lovers!! My goodwill had been closed down for over 2 months, they just opened back up and boy did I find some good doll deals. This whole bag was only $4 I could not believe it. I got 17 dolls in this bag, so that makes them a little less than .25 a piece (now you can see why paying 9.99 seemed like a lot to me haha)! I got some awesome dolls in this bag too!
There was 5 hairdorables (I was super suprised to see these in the goodwill already, these dolls are fairly new still). I think these little dolls are so cute and their hair is super pretty, these girls are what caught my attention. There was also 2 boxy girl dolls that were brand new had shoes and everything (another surprise to me cause these are also newer). There was an equestria girls doll and a random dollar store doll. There was also 8 of the sparkle girl smaller toddler dolls, these are cute but not my thing. I am going to sell the last few dolls that were mentioned in this post to hopefully make my money back on this bag. Now these are the deals I am wanting to see at goodwill and have missed so much!!

Finally!! A Yard Sale Find!! 1996 Reproduction 1961 Wedding Day Barbie-Red Head

Hello doll lovers!! Can not believe I am actually doing a doll post! I got to go to a few yard sales this past weekend and I found this girl. She was by herself on a table with a bunch of tools. I could not resist her for $5, her box is pretty beat up but she is in perfect condition.
She is the 1996 reproduction 1961 wedding day barbie, the red head version. Her original price tag was 38.99 but was bought on clearance for $20. She does not sell for a lot online but I am keeping her so it does not matter to me. I have a couple other reproductions that I got thrifting that need to be cleaned up, so she will not be alone. I also have some vintage barbies that she will be displayed with. Like I have been saying from here on out I am trying my best to be selective with what I buy but this girl had to come home with me for $5!
When I took her out of the box her elastics had irroded and were stuck in her hair, I replaced them with new ones and fixed her hair style. She came with a stand and her bouquet (that also had elastic stuck to it) and a bag of accessories. Her accessories was a pair of gloves, brush, little white pumps and a garter belt (so cute). I have heard people say keeping a doll in the box is bad for them and now I believe it. Glad I got her and rescued her from that mess.

A Closer Look At The 90s Barbie Clothes From The Surprise Box....

Hello doll lovers!! As promised here is the closer look at the barbie clothes in my 9.99 box from the goodwill. I got some really cool pieces to dress my dolls up as I clean them. I am always on the look out for vintage clothing cause those are the dolls I mostly buy.
I got quite a few actual outfits and some really 90s dresses (I love barbie dresses they were my fav as a kid to dress my dolls in). In the top pic there is a hollywood hair set, a bongo set (this is one of my favs!!), a earring magic fashion pack (missing a jacket), a stacie set and two other fashion pack sets. The second pic has a silver dress, a black dress with irridecent ruffle (both my favs too!!), a brunette totally hair barbie dress and a couple fashion pack dresses. Third pic has some other sets that maybe barbie but they are not marked and the pink and black outfit is actually a skipper outfit that is not marked. The next two pics are random pieces, some marked but most not and the last pic is all ken clothes.
I think most people would have gladly paid 9.99 for just these clothes so I really did get a good deal. I actually threw these in the washer in a delicates bag to wash and dry them. They all came out clean and none got ruined. I know a lot of people do not like to put doll clothes in the washer but I have found if you put them in a bag they do just fine. Now I am wanting to get all my dolls cleaned so I can put them in these cool clothes!!
