Ebay Find-80s Playskool Doll Surprise 12 Doll Lot

     Hello doll lovers!! I decided to get on ebay and pick out one thing for my birthday that was this past weekend. I decided on this lot of 1980s playskool dolly surprise dolls, I got all 12 of these dolls for $30 with shipping. I thought that was a great deal and most come with their original outfits and shoes but there are also a few fashion pack outfits too. 

     The one I really wanted was the girl in the blue overalls she was the doll I had when I was little and this one is in such good shape, she doesn't look played with at all. Her name was Holly Surprise, I also ended up getting Molly Surprise and Polly Surprise the only one I am missing from the original four is Lolly Surprise but she is quite expensive so I will have to look for her thrifting! 

 

Makeover Time-1982 Cabbage Patch Girl Doll-Red Gingham Dress

     Hello doll lovers!! I have started this year picking up vintage cabbage patch dolls when I find them thrifting. They have to have their clothes and shoes and be a reasonable price. I got this poor girl at a yard sale recently and she needed to be cleaned badly. She was so dirty and smelly (poor thing) but she was only $1 so I can not say anything. I really enjoyed cleaning her up and thought I would share how she turned out. This girl is special cause my grandma got me a cabbage patch that looked just like her when they first came out I was 2 and she got the brunette cause I have brown hair I think she even had the same outfit! 

First I took her clothes off then I cleaned her face with soap and water. I then put her in pillow case and put her in the washing machine with some of my clothes. I then put her in the dryer, she turned out find but I do I am not saying to do this cause most people let them air dry but I do not have the space for that. 

 This is how I cleaned her dress and tights, I put them in separate jars (cause of the red dye) I put a little bit of clothes detergent and some oxyclean. I shook the jars several times and let them set for about 4 hours I would shake them every so often. I then took the clothes out and changed the water. 

As you can see the water is soooooooooo grosss!!! I know some of this is the red dye but oh my goodness I knew she was dirty but this is crazy. The tights water looked the same but a little more red. 

                                                        

After I washed her clothes I rinsed them and put them in a salad spinner (only used for cleaning doll clothes) and spun them out. Then I hung them to dry over night. 

     This is her now!! She looks so pretty!! She does have some marks on her face I could not remove and the marker on her shoes would not come off but I will say she looks so much better than she did. I even braided her pigtails! This girl looks like the one I had when I was a little girl I am so happy with her!

Doll Finds Friday-Monster High-Ever After High-Barbie-Cabbage Patch-Doll Surprise

     Hello doll lovers!! It's doll finds friday!! I have been having some great doll find weeks lately of course that is mainly because of my doll lady's return but...... She needs to restock again (mainly cause I buy her out). I got all the dolls in the first pic from her and I paid $9 for all of them (the monster high whisp doll is worth $90 the way she is now so I think I got a deal.......). 

     Then I found the vintage cabbage patch girl at a yard sale for $1 (she is so dirty so look for her makeover blog soon!!). I got all the dolls in the third pic for $1 a piece at a different yard sale. Lastly I decided to get on ebay and buy one thing for my birthday so I picked this lot of 12 playskool doll surprise dolls and I paid $30 with shipping (there will be a post about these ladies soon too). 

 

Makeover Time-Vintage 80s Anatomically Correct Boy Baby Doll

     Hello doll lovers!! This is a makeover post for a 1980s anatomically correct boy baby doll, you could order these out of the back of magazines through the mail. I have just recently learned that these are actually knock off of a more expensive doll made by he jemar toy company at that time. I have always wanted one of these dolls it has been a grail item for me since I was little. Of course now that I seen the jemar doll I now want one of those but this little guy will still be an important part of my collection. 

As you can see he was pretty dirty and only $1 at a yard sale (I like how they covered his bits with the price sticker LOL).

   I washed his body with soap and baking soda to get him clean and deodorized.

Then I used a magic eraser on him to get the marks that didn't come off with the wash. He had paint on his nose and lip and a few other marks on his body, the marker on his chest did not come out but with his clothes you can't see it. 

Wanted to show the details on his cute little feet since his new outfit is a sleeper. 

Here he is all clean with his new diaper on!! He is so adorable!! 

Now here is the finished product in his new to him sleeper (I got it at goodwill for .69) he needs preemie clothing cause this newborn outfit is too big. I am sure I will find him some cute stuff thrifting. 

So happy with how he turned out, he is so cute and now I can say that I have my newborn boy doll I wanted as a little girl! 

 

Makeover Time-1985 Cabbage Patch Kid-World Traveler Doll-Scotland

     Hello doll lovers!! Here is my other cabbage patch doll I did a makeover on recently I got her from a yard sale for only $5 and she has most of her outfit and shoes. Thought I would take you along on the steps I did not make her clean and cute again. 

I put her clothes in to jars with clothes detergent and oxyclean then every so often I shook the jars (kinda like a mini washing machine lol) I left the clothes to set in the soap water about 4 hours then rinsed them out. As you can see these clothes was no where near as bad as the previous girl. 

Then after I put the clothes in the jars I washed this girls face and spray treated her. Then she went into the pillow case to go through a wash cycle with some blankets. Then she went into a dry cycle with them too. 

After the clothes was rinsed I put them in a salad spinner (just for cleaning doll clothes) and got all the extra water out. They will set over night to dry then I will put them back on her. They came so clean!

Here she is after!! I put her clothes on and a little diaper (they came with them originally) she is so cute!! I also combed her hair out and put her little white ribbons back in (they got washed too). She has the sweetest little face and I love her outfit and brown shoes. 

 

Doll Finds Friday-My Scene-Cabbage Patch-Our Generation

     Hello doll lovers!! It is yet again another doll finds friday post, I have been having a lot of luck lately with my doll finds especially since my doll/toy lady has been setting up again! First find was the our generation doll with this beautiful dress and shoes, she is a read head with freckles I couldn't leave her at goodwill for 3.99. Then at a yard sale I found the my scene boy Ellis (his hair has been cut but you can't really tell) for .25, at that same sale I got the cabbage patch world traveler scotland doll for $5. Lastly I found my grail doll (I'll talk more about that in my makeover post) this anatomically correct boy doll that looks like a real newborn at a yard sale for only $1! 

 

What's In The Bag????-Mini Disney Princess Dolls-Jakks Pacific Fairy Tale Favorites

     Hello doll lovers!! I finally got to see my amazing doll lady last week and she did not disappoint. I got this awesome bag of mini princess and prince dolls for $5. There is also two early 00s barbie princess dolls and a 70s dawn doll. I thought this whole bag was full of disney mini princess dolls but found out that there was only 3 of those the rest was from Jakks Pacific it took my a bit to figure this out because the only thing on them was jpinc (which now I know stands for jakks pacific inc). I thought they looked like the starr dolls that was made in the mid 90s and they are infact those doll molds. I had no idea that they even existed till I got this bag. 

     As you can see in the pics I got the disney dancing princess aurora and prince phillip set (by the way they did him dirty look at him in those damn white tights.......) but they had her with prince charming which made me think maybe there was another bag she had not gotten out yet that had more of these in it........ I will be so sad if that was the case but I just can't see why cinderella wouldn't be with her prince all of the other dolls had their princes....... Of course my ocd will not let me forget about it either, grrrrrr...... 

     Then we come to the Jakks Pacific dolls they are sold as fairy tale favorites (and let me tell you the packaging looks so cheap I would have thought these was dollar store dolls). They are the sets of fairy tale couples and the girls are the starr doll molds and I guess the princes are their own molds (they look just a like but clothes are different). In my bag I got cinderella and prince charming, snow white and her prince and the aurora or sleeping beauty but no prince for her. So that leads me to believe there may have been more there or maybe not but I am going to clean these up (their hair is awful) and just be happy I got the sets I got becuase they are very cute and they came with thier outfits the girls don't have shoes but the guys do. I really like finding things like this at sales cause I love finding and researching things that I have never seen before. 

 

Doll Find Friday-Barbie-LOL OMG-Dawn

     Hello doll lovers!! I was so happy to see my doll lady again!! I haven't seen her set up for a long time and the few times she sat up before I couldn't get to the sale before all the good stuff was gone. I sure did find some good stuff this time around! All of the items in these pics came from her and I was so happy to find them! I was at her booth for over 45 min and my boys was tired of waiting on me (summer problems) but I wish I could have stayed around a bit longer cause she wasn't done setting up and said she had more dolls. Boo Hoo I had to take all of these great goodies and go I still got some great things maybe next week she will have more. 

     In the first pic is a new in box barbie nutcracker flower princess doll for $5. Then I found the hills exclusive blue elegance barbie for only $1 (I love this era of dolls the ones with the elaborate dresses are my favorite)! Then I found a madame alexander kids meal new in pack for $1 and a kenner dawn doll in a bag with some other small dolls for $1. There is also a bag of small princess and prince dolls that had a down dawn doll in it too for $5 I will do a closer look at those dolls in another post. Next I found the box of lol doll for $10 and the lol omg doll for $6 (I kindof regret this one but I was on a doll high haha). Lastly I got the other lol dolls for $2 a piece with accessories and the last two with their boxes was $3 a piece. 

 

Doll Finds Friday-Rose Petal Place-Barbie-LOL

     Hello doll lovers!! As you can see haven't had a lot of doll finds recently but the past couple of weeks have been pretty good. I got the 80s rose petal place iris doll for .50 at a yard sale. Then I got the barbie extra with extra surprises doll for $9 off walmart online (I had some rewards points and she was on sale). At another yard sale I found all these LOL dolls for $2 a piece with clothes and shoes! Lastly I got the purple hair barbie extra off walmart too with my reward points and her sale I paid around $9.
