Doll Finds Friday-More Vintage Ladies-Na Na Na Surprise

Hello doll lovers!! It's time for a doll finds Friday! This will be the last of the vintage ladies unless the salvation army gets more in........ I finally got all the dolls I wanted that has been there for 2 months I slowly picked them up when they had a sale and I got some really great deals.
The arranbee in the white dress was $30, the madame alexander/ideal hybrid (guess the previous owner waned her that way) was $20, the uneeda carmen was $50 (she is complete and worth atleast $300) then the one laying down is a madame alexander that has some issues I did not know about but she was $18. The effanbee most happy family mother and daughter dolls was $35 together.  Then I added two more na na na surprise dolls to the collection, they was on walmart online on sale then I had some rewards points so I only ended up paying 4.50 a piece for them!

A Closer Look At My Collection-In Box-Barbie Fashion Fever Dolls-Kira-Drew-Barbie-2005/2006

Hello doll lovers!! Was going through my doll storage when I came upon these girls in a bin and thought I would share this small collection I have. These are fashion fever dolls from the early/mid 2000's I have some out of box but these are the only ones in box so far. I had thought about removing them from the boxes but can't bring myself to do it.
The earliest one is from 2005 and it is the Kira doll in the blue packaging. She has such a pretty face and I love her outfit so much I got her at a flea market for $5! Then I found the middle girl Drew from 2006 at a yard sale for $4! Then I found the barbie at a different yard sale, she is from 2006 also I believe her and Drew are from the same line and she was $5 too! Both drew and Barbie have pretty outfits too but barbies top is painted on and am not a fan of that but she is still a pretty doll. I may find more of these girls in my future thrifting adventures we shall see.......

Hello doll lovers!! It's everyone's favorite day of the week, doll find Friday!! I don't have a lot to share this week but I did get some great deals! The only thing I have to share this week are these barbie fashionista dolls I got the first two from walmart with my rewards points so I only paid $5 a piece for them. I got the other four from amazon they was having a sale plus had coupons for each doll and if you bought four you got a little more percentage off so they was around 5.50 per doll. I love the barbie fashionista line they have different body types, ethnicities and many other cool details so when I can find them for $5 or less I grab them!

Makeover Time-1982-Cabbage Patch Doll

Hello doll lovers!! As you saw in the previous doll finds post I got this girl at a yard sale last weekend for $3. I felt so bad for her cause of the shape she was in that I had to clean her up this week. She was dirty, had marker on her, her outfit had stains and her hair was ratty. The seller told me she washed her but I don't think she did.....
Cause I washed her in the washing machine and yes I did put her in the dryer in a pillow case and she came out so clean all her marks came off her body. She does have the cabbie pox which I hate cause you can't do anything about them but there are only a few. Her outfit came out nice too it still has some faint marks on the collar but you can see how dark they was. I trimmed all the fuzzy pieces off her hair and put it up in pony tails. I think she looks super cute and I am sure she feels a lot better now!

My VT 18 Revlon Girls Got Their Shoes!!

Hello doll lovers!! I recently purchased some vintage dolls from my local salvation army and these two ladies was the only ones who came without shoes. So I searched all the resale sights to find the best deal on so them. I mean I only paid $30 for each doll I did not want to pay that much for a pair of shoes!! I got these off of etsy for $12 a pair and they fit my girls just right! Was happy to find them so I can now clean them up and complete their outfits!

Restoration Time-Restringing-Madame Alexander-Swedish

Hello doll lovers!! I did another "restoration" today on this little madame alexander dolls of the world sweden girl. As you can see her little head was about to fall off and her legs was barely hanging on. It seems to me the madame alexander dolls seem to have the worst bands of any doll brand. I forgot to take a pic to show some of my process but as you can see it worked out great. She can stand on her own now and her head is not going to fall off!

A Closer Look At My Collection-1950's-Ideal-Miss Curity

Hello doll lovers!! This is my ideal miss curity dolls, atleast I think they are both miss curity. As you can see the one is not in her original outfit. The hair seems the same but the faces look different the one on the left looks rounder to me. I have researched and researched but can not tell for sure if the cowgirl is a Toni or the miss curity so time will tell. They are both beautiful and I love them either way!

Makeover Time-1950's-Madame Alexander-Lissy Doll

Hello doll lovers!! I have been going through my vintage dolls to see if they need a makeover or restringing and this girl only needed a makeover her stringing seemed to be fine for now (previous owner must have restrung her). She did need a good cleaning and her hair redone. I washed her body in hand cleaner and washed her clothes with detergent then did a denture tablet treatment to get them a little whiter. I washer her hair in sections and did not get the top wet since she has a wig I also conditioned it too. I then let it dry and braided it close as I could to original style. She is such a cutie and I think her little freshen up did a lot!

A Closer Look At My Collection-Vintage Family Doll Sets-Uneeda-Effanbee

Hello doll lovers!! This is a closer look at my doll family sets, I think these are the cutest. The set in the red outfits is the Uneeda wee three family, as you can see we are missing the baby for this set but the dolls are complete and in good condition, glad I found the little girl she is sweet. The other set is Effanbee's Most Happy Family, they are all matching in the pretty blue outfits and complete except for the boy is missing his jacket, the mom even has her diamond ring and wedding band! I do not think this is the original baby that went with the set but it does look just like it so I left it with them. I love these little family sets and maybe some day I will find the baby that goes with the uneeda set!

Out of the Box-Vintage 1984-Vogue-Ginny Doll-Back to School

Hello doll lovers!! It's time for an out of the box doll opening, today it is the 1984 vogue ginny back to school doll. I got this girl a few years ago at goodwill for 2.99 of course I thought about selling her but she is too darn cute so I decided to open her up and keep her. I love looking at all the old pamphlets that come with boxed dolls look at all those cute little girls. I will say the quality of the clothes and doll seemed a little lacking for a vogue doll but I am thinking of the older better quality dolls. I do think her outfit is too cute and her little shoes are awesome, her tights did fade some but she is still super cute!

A Closer Look At My Collection-Ideal-1950's-Revlon Dolls-22"-20"-18" and 10 1/2"

Hello doll lovers!! Today I am doing a closer look at my vintage 1950's Ideal Revlon doll collection. I have acquired these over the past year and am super happy with my collection so far. I have the 22" beauty in a handmade dress with earrings, necklace and shoes. Then the 20" in a handmade dress with her nylons, earrings and heels. Then I have two 18" one in red has shorter hair and green eyes (rare) with an original red velvet dress and nylons (had to order her shoes). Then there is the longer hair 18" that has blue eyes her dress is original but goes to the 22" you can tell it is too big, she came with her nylons but no shoes (ordered too) she doesn't have earring holes and neither does the red dress girl. Last but not least is my 10 1/2" little Miss Revlon I recently did a post about restringing her. The only two I need to have a complete collection are the 15" and the 25" which I will probably not find they are hard to get cause there wasn't a lot made.

Restoration Time-Restringing-Ideal-Little Miss Revlon

Hello doll lovers!! Look! I worked on a different type of doll, I bet you thought I could only do Madame Alexander dolls..... Actually I thought the same thing but then I found my little miss revlon I got earlier this year at salvation army for 7.99 and felt so sorry for her. She couldn't stand up straight she just slumped over. I watched a video on how to work on her too and it seemed pretty simple but I hated to take her leg off but had to get to her mechanism in the lower part of her body. In the video they tell you to use boiling water to make it easier to remove her leg and it did but I wrapped her hip and leg in a plastic bag so it wouldn't get wet (I didn't want to worry about mold inside of her leg). I think it turned out great I was missing a tube in her abdomen but it seems to work fine without it. I was glad to be able to fix her cause I love my revlon girls!
