Makeover Time.... 1990 Lights and Lace Barbie

Hello doll lovers!! This is a 1990 lights and lace barbie, she is a special one to me cause I can remember my mom getting her for me at a yard sale when I was about 10 years old. I loved her so much, she even had her dress and light! So when I saw this girl in a bin at goodwill I had to pay the .50 for her. I washed her body and hair (which was hard because of the little curls on top, which I do not understand the hair style but I kept those little curls). I kept her original hair style I just cleaned the small curls up by cutting the pieces that came out of the curls, the back is super soft and wavy. Of course I do not have her amazing pink dress so I used one of my favorite fashion packs that I had in my clothing stash, it is a bongo set and I love it! By the way, aren't her bangs great!! So 80s/early 90s!!

Makeover Time..... 1991 Sunsation Kira Barbie

Hello doll lovers!! Found this girl at a yard sale for .50, loved her face and long hair so she came home with me and has been waiting for a makeover. This is the 1991 sunsation kira doll, she originally came in a purple bikini but of course I did not have that so I put her in this awesome 90s dress that was in my clothes stash. It matches her eyes and lip color nicely. Her hair is still very voluminous so I decided to pull it back to store her but is is so pretty with highlights. I love the kira/miko sculpt so when ever I find them they come home with me.

Makeover Time.... 1998 Florida Vacation Teen Skipper

Hello doll lovers!! Today's makeover post is about this 1998 florida vacation teen skipper doll. She had some dirty speckled legs but other than that she was an easy clean up and her hair was nice too. I did not have her original outfit so I put her in the extreme green outfit (since thats the only teen skipper outfit I had).  She came from a grouping of dolls that I found at a yard sale for $2. I wasn't going to keep her and clean her up but I like the teen skipper face so her she is....

Makeover Time.... 2017 Barbie and The Rockers Drummer

Hello doll lovers!! This is one of the newer dolls I have did a makeover on, I found her at the goodwill for 1.29. I had to get her, her hair is awesome. She really did not need much done, just a good bath and hair conditioning. Of course she needed new clothes (that dress was not good) so I put her in a project mc squared doll outfit. I though the outfit matched her vibe and is so so cute, it is a little tight cause the doll it belongs too is a bit smaller than this girl but I think that makes it look nicer. I have some black boots for her to wear but she is going into storage so I will wait to put them on her.

Makeover Time..... 1981 Pretty 'N Pink Barbie

Hello doll lovers!! This is a makeover post on a 1981 pretty 'n pink barbie doll, she was purchased in the same case as the crystal barbie I just did a post on. I was happy to find this girl too because I have had her outfit for a while that has been pieced together from different clothing lots, of course I don't have her shoes but that is ok. I washed her body and hair (she was very dirty, you can't tell because she is a very tan barbie for some reason) she had a mark on her face I got cleaned off. I tried to fix her hair like her original hair style, it was curlier in box but I like how it turned out.

Makeover Time..... 1983 Crystal Barbie

Hello doll lovers!! I did a few makeovers this past week on some of my barbie dolls. Only 1,000 more to go, but it's a start. I found this doll this past fall in a case of some dolls and clothes for $2. I was super excited to find her, she has been a doll I wanted even when I was kid. I got her dress on a jem doll earlier last year and her wrap was in the case with her. I washed her body and hair and removed some marks on her leg and was going to curl her hair but decided to just leave it straight but pull a small section up in a pony tail. She turned out great, maybe sometime I can find her original shoes but since she is going to be stored I didn't try to find any shoes for her right now.

Walmart Clearance Barbie Fashionista Finds.....

Hello doll lovers!! Went to walmart last week and found some great deals on these barbie fashionista dolls. I like to collect the fashionistas that are different body types or have special features but I wait for them to go on sale to buy them. I can't pay the $8 a piece for them but if you are patient they go on sale quite often.
On this day I had decided to check the price of these dolls, the price on the shelf said 5.85, but when I went to the price checker they were ringing up for .75 and 1.50!!! I couldn't believe it, the best deal I have ever found on these dolls is $2 a piece. So the long dark hair with stripe dress doll was .75, the girl with vitaligo was 1.50, the bald beauty was .75, the girl with a prostetic leg was .75 and the pink hair curvy girl was 1.50. I am very excited to add these girls to my collection, they are the ones I was most interested in so I am one happy collector!!

A Goodwill Find..... 1990 Radio Shack LCD Raceway Hand Held Game-New In Box

Hello doll/toy lovers!! Made a stop by goodwill the other day had a feeling there was something neat there and found this. I am not a tech person or a person who loves electronic games but if I see them especially if they are new in package I pick them up. Notice how small the bar code number is, now they are 20 digits long. I love finding items in their old package it makes me so nostalgic.
This is the 1990 radio shack lcd raceway hand held game. It was never played or open I can tell cause the instructions are still in the box folded to neatly to have been used. I only paid .99 for this and thought it was pretty cool. If I was going to play a hand held game when I was a kid this would have been one I liked! Thinking my son might like this, he is very into any kind of game or game system.....

Makeover Time.... 90s Russ Dinosaur Troll-Goodwill Find

Hello doll/toy lovers!! Today I did a quick clean up of this little russ dino. He was pretty gross as you can see he has a ring of grime around his neck and was pretty dirty. Usually it takes me a while to get to cleaning my items but when they are this gross I do it soon as they come into the house. I got this little guy at the goodwill for .25 and thought he was worth it to bring home and clean up.
I cleaned him the same way I do all my toys, I used a toothbrush with dish soap and baking soda. Then I used a magic eraser to get the spots that did not want to come of with the soap. Of course his hair was not bad at all just washed it with a little soap and he was all good. He does have some paint scurbs but he turned out good and best of all that ring of grime is gone!

Makeover Time.... Vintage 1984 Lanard Sunbow Hair Bear

Hello doll/toy lovers!! Finally I have a different toy to post in my makeover series. This is a 1984 lanard sunbow hair bear. I am assuming that these were produced to compete with the popular care bears. These bears however are not exactly the same, it seems these were made to play with thier hair and the hair is not a very good quality so this girl has some frizzy hair. She does have her original apron but is missing one of the ties at the back. Oh and I got her the same day at the goodwill as the lemon drop and cotton candy ponies for .50. Wish I could have found more awesome 80s toys that day but three out of three ain't bad.                                Hair bear was washed just like the other toys, with a tooth brush, dish soap and baking soda. Her hair was washed with the same products and treated with conditioner (not that it mattered her hair is so dry) it was combed and I tried to put curlers in it to give it back some curl. I didn't touch her apron cause I did not want to ruin it, she did clean up nicely and I guess her hair is as good as it can get and doesn't look like a rats nest so that is a win.....

Makeover Time.... Vintage My Little Pony-Newborn Baby Twin Puddles

Hello doll/toy lovers!! This is the last pony post I have unless I find some more in my stash.... Which could be possible, it's hard to tell what I can find if I organize it better. This is one of the twin newborn babies puddles she is missing her other half peeks but when you find her in a random box at a yard sale for .25 it is probably unlikely the set will be together....                                                                                                  Per the ush I washed her body with a tooth brush, dish soap and baking soda. I also washed the hair with same products used conditioner and combed it out. Then I put 2 curlers in her mane and one curler in her tail because one strand of her tail was still curly. I just love the baby ponies, their faces are too cute!

Makeover Time..... Vintage My Little Pony-Sundance

Hello doll/toy lovers!! No this isn't a repeat accidental post, I have another sundance my little pony that I found at a yard sale for $1 this summer. Her tail was in better condition (no trimming it) than the first one but this one has a few more spots that did not want to come off. I guess you can't have it all, can you??                       Again (this has gotten so repetative) I washed the body and hair with a tooth brush, dish soap and baking soda. I put conditioner in the mane and tail and combed it out, I put 3 curlers in her tail since it is so long and it turned out so pretty. She does have some spots I can not remove but that is ok she is still a beaut.

Makeover Time..... Vintage My Little Pony-Lemon Drop

Hello doll/toy lovers!! Yes, it is another pony post and she was found with the cotton candy from the previous post at the goodwill for .50. She must be a popular girl cause she is the third one I have cleaned (one did not have her tail). She was really sticky and her hair was a crazy mess but I fixed that for her.                   As usual I cleaned her body with a tooth brush, dish soap and baking soda. I cleaned her hair with the same products and used conditioner to help comb it out. I also put a curler in her tail and did not have to wrap her head which I was not expecting. She cleaned up good but her body is a little bit lighter than her head but I think sometimes that happens with the older ponies.
