1987 Barbie Ice Cream Shoppe-Almost Complete-Salvation Army Find

     Hello doll lovers!! Went by the salvation army this week and saw this beaut in a buggy with the price tag on it, asked the lady if I could get it and as you can see she let me bring it home. This is the 1987 Barbie ice cream shoppe set it is almost complete which is very hard to find (a lot of little pieces). 

      This set was a little dirty but the colors are still vibrant and nothing is broken. The set included the counter area with a topping section (missing 2 pink bowls from that) with a clear lid, two spoons for kids to eat with and for the dolls to set and the rolling ice cream cart with the umbrella and the paddle with clear lid. There was a table with two chairs that turn into cups for the kids to eat from (you can use the umbrella there too). Then comes all the accessories, an apron, 4 placemats and 4 napkins (only missing 1). Then there was 4 sundae cups, 4 banana split dishes, 4 cups (missing 2), 2 plates, one platter and the scope (this is very rare to find). 28 scoops of ice creams (missing 1) and 4 cones for dolls to hold. A cash register, napkin holder, blender with lid, shake mixer and a cone dispenser with cones (this was supposed to come with a small lid but that is missing). This set is about 98% complete, I could not believe it had almost all the ice cream and the scoop!

      I love a good doll play set... Why??? I'm not sure.... Cause I do not have the room to display them but I love all the little accessories that go with them. If I find them at a good price I pick them up (of course I do). This one was definantly a good price, they only had it marked at 2.59!! I couldn't believe it, it also had some pieces to the 1984 Barbie dream kitchen with it (was really disappointed the only piece I was missing from that was the top piece with the sink and stove and it would have been complete, I am hoping it will turn up in the toy section at some point but you never know). I now have at least 5 play sets and pieces to a few different ones. The box art is awesome on this and let me tell you this box is huge so I hate to say it but I'm going to have to get rid of it for storage reasons but the pics with live on forever. Of course when I get to cleaning this set up I will do a post for that too!
