Hello vintage lovers!! This week was way better than last week for vintage finds, I guess this is my lottery week! At one yard sale I found these two fashion corner dolls. These were the off brand barbie dolls when I was younger. As you can see by the 3.97 price tag on the box of one of the dolls, she came from hills department store (I loved hills!!).
Now a days these girls are pretty collectible, I have seen dolls in this same slim box sell for $25 and up.... If you have the special ones that had a gimmick to them they are way more expensive. It's funny to think that this doll sells for more than most name brand barbies do. I don't think these girls will be going anywhere but if I did want to sell them, they were only $1 a piece so I would make a pretty decent profit.
The faces on these dolls are a bit more mature than the barbie face but that makes since because barbie was mainly marketed as a teenager/young adult. I really like both of these girls outfits (check the fanny pack on the black outfit) the white shirt and blue skirt is pretty. Let's not talk about the fashions for these ladies they are way out there on price it is crazy to me I guess because they didn't make as many of these fashions as barbies?? All I can say is I got a lucky and a great deal and if I see these girls at more sales I will grab them.
