Restoration Time.... Bag of Cat Pee Clothing

Hello doll lovers!! In this post I am going to show you how I washed these nasty doll clothes. I mentioned these a few posts back about how I got these clothes at a thrift store and there was a story behind them. Well the story is simple, I paid $2 for the bag and opened them up to look at them to be smacked in the face with the worst cat pee smell ever!!!!
I am not a fan of cigarette smoke but I can tell you right now cat pee is worse to me for sure. I thought these clothes would never come clean. But they came out smelling like a rose, ummm like clean laundry but you get the idea.
First I prepared my bucket, I put hot water in and one scoop of oxyclean so it could dissolve, then I put in a small cap of downy scent beads and half a cup of laundry softner. I also sprinkled in some baking soda, dropped the clothes in and let them soak for 24 hours. I then drained them put them in a net bag and threw them in the washer with a load of our clothes. Then they went into the dryer (I have never had a problem doing this).
When they came out you couldn't even tell they had smelled so bad! The teacher barbie dress and the small cinderella dress was off of two thrift store dolls that I will be cleaning but I went ahead and threw them in with these to be washed (teacher barbies dress was so dusty it was awful). Hope this helps someone else and to let you know they can be saved.
